UP assembly elections: BJP’s star campaigner Avtar Singh Bhadana to contest from Meerapur U.P.

New Delhi 25 January 2017: The former Congress MP and Gujjar leader Avtar Singh Bhadana who joined Bhartiya Janata Party in the year of 2015 told media, "‪I thank the party for the responsibility given to me by senior leadership and will work with the best of my abilities."

Recently BJP released the list of its main party's campaigners and Avtar Singh Bhadana finds space in top 40 campaigners along with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by BJP chief Amit Shah, Union home minister Rajnath Singh, Union minister and former BJP chief Nitin Gadkari on the top of the list.

“I am targeting Uttar Pradesh to be free from corruption with the central support. I would like to state that with this nomination and winning from Meerapur seat, I will make sure that maximum others seats to be won by our party nominators.” He stated.

Avtar singh also supported PM Modi's currency demonetisation move and cashless economy, "I urge all well-wishers & loved ones to teach one person around them about the benefits of the cash-less economy especially for farmers and how to use such services." He urged.

The member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India, Singh earlier represented the Faridabad constituency of Haryana and a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) political party. 

The seven-phase assembly elections in Uttar Prasdesh is all set to start from February 11.
