MADURAI:
A 35-year-old woman was arrested in Madurai for allegedly allowing her paramour to rape her 11-year-old daughter. The man, who had fled to Kanyakumari, was also arrested on Sunday.
Police have slapped charges on four counts on the woman as well as her paramour, including rape and abetment to the offence. The girl has been admitted to the Government Rajaji Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered during the assault. Police said that Kuppumani, 35, from Sakkimanglam had an affair with M Ravi, 45, a building contractor in Vandiyur.
